We will be with you every step of the way to help you estimate these costs. Now is the perfect time to start working with a lender if you haven't already done so.
3. Choose Your Home Plan and Customize it for Your Needs
Meet with our sales team to choose a floor plan that suits your needs and lifestyle. Customize the plan to better accommodate your preferences. This could involve moving room sizes, modifying layouts, or incorporating personalized features like a mudroom, upgraded kitchen, or home office space.
4. Estimate Your Site Costs
Meet with one of our Project Managers to assess your building lot and estimate site-specific expenses. This includes land clearing, grading, foundation work, utility connections, and any potential issues like poor soil or steep slopes that could impact the build.
5. Review Your Pricing Agreement and Build Price
Review the complete build proposal once the plan and site costs are finalized. This includes the base price, upgrades, and site costs. Ask questions and make sure you fully understand the total cost and what's included.
6. Obtain Your Financing and Close Your Loan
Collaborate with a lender to secure construction financing. After approval, finalize the loan documents and close the loan, ensuring that construction funds are available as the project advances.
7. Attend the Preconstruction Meeting
Meet with your project manager to review all plans and timelines. This meeting will address building materials, construction phases, communication expectations, and the process for managing changes.
8. Begin Construction
Building officially starts! This includes site preparation, foundation, framing, and continuing through plumbing, electrical, insulation, drywall, finishes, and more. Regular updates and walkthroughs help keep everything on track.
9. Final Walkthrough and Move-In
Do a detailed walkthrough with your builder to identify any touch-ups or final tasks. Once everything is complete and up to standard, you'll receive the keys and move into your brand-new home!
